HM the King Inspires Spiritual Leaders in Promoting Tolerance, Peace (The Hill)

HM King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, is a source of inspiration for religious and spiritual leaders throughout the world in combating jihadism and promoting tolerance and peace, writes on Thursday U.S. daily "The Hill".
“HM King Mohammed VI has used his religious role of Commander of the Faithful to inspire religious leaders to combat jihadist themes and urge tolerance and peace,” notes the publication in an analysis by Ahmed Charai, publisher and board member of several U.S. think tanks.
The paper adds that HM the King has also spent more than a decade championing gradual democratic reforms, culminating in a constitutional monarchy that vests all powers in the elected parliament.
In an analysis entitled “US working alongside its Arab allies should promote moderate forms of Islam,” The Hill notes that American strategy should champion universal ideals of human rights and embrace brave Arab democrats who stand for these values.
This means a multi-layered strategy, using broadcast and social media, to combat radical claims and present reasonable alternatives, the publication adds.
