The new center, the 48th of its kind in Morocco, is part of an integrated program carried out by the Mohammed VI Foundation for Inmates' Reintegration within prisons and seeks to turn jails into an area of rehabilitation, training, know-how and interpersonal skills through the development of cultural and sports activities, healthcare and education.

The program, which prepares in-house detainees on the basis of an individual project, promotes economic and social reintegration of targeted people who could benefit, once freed, from the support of post-prison centers built by the same Foundation.

Benefiting over 200 inmates, the new facility offers training in building-related jobs (glass painting, electricity and plasterwork), hairdressing, fixing electrical appliances, maintenance of computer material, in addition to training on agriculture (tree cultivation, market gardening..).

The said training is in perfect harmony with the socio-economic specificity of the region to facilitate the access of former prisoners to the job market
