Royal Visit To Errachidia: Social Projects Meeting Expectations Of Local Populations

His Majesty King Mohammed VI, launched, Saturday in Errachidia, the construction works of the first phase of "Riad Errachidia" new urban center, and inaugurated a running track in line with international standards.
These projects will help meet the needs of middle-class and limited -income households in terms of housing, and contribute to the development of sports skills of children and youth in the region, through the strengthening of local facilities in the province.
Worth some 152 million dirhams, the first phase of Riad Errachidia urban center spans on a total area of 34 hectares and will benefit more than 2,600 households. It will include the development of 373 collective housing lots, 419 low-cost housing lots, 128 villas lots, 54 commercial lots, as well as several lots designed to accommodate socio -economic neighborhood facilities (bakery, a public bath, a school, a middle school, sports, a mosque etc.)
This project, carried out by Al-Omran Group also incorporates an environmental dimension, as it includes the development of two hectares of green space and the planting of 1,200 trees.
Conducted in accordance with the guidelines of High Majesty the King, the future project will serve as a balanced urban center able to reduce pressure on the city of Errachidia, as it will put on the market a housing supply that meets the needs of all social strata, especially those with average incomes.
The athletics track Errachidia, inaugurated today by the Sovereign, is part of the efforts to upgrade and strengthen sports infrastructure in the province, and promote sports in the region.
Carried out by the Royal Moroccan Federation of Athletics (FERMA) for a total sum of over 17 million dirhams, it includes a synthetic track covering six lanes (expandable to eight ), an inner ring and drained grassy areas jumping and throwing , changing rooms , shops for training equipment and bleachers with a capacity of 350 people.
The project is part of the efforts to provide the province with quality sports facilities.
On the occasion of the inauguration of Errachidia athletics track, FRMA President Abdeslam Ahizoun presented to HM the King a souvenir trophy of the sixth Mohammed VI international Athletics Meeting (IAAF WORLD Challenge), held on 9 June 2013.
