Intense Activities By HM The King On Sidelines Of Malian President's Inauguration Ceremony

 On the sidelines of the inauguration ceremony of Malian President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, HM King Mohammed VI met, today in Bamako, with several heads of states attending the festivities including French president François Hollande, Tunisian Moncef Merzouki, Gabonese Ali Bongo Ondimba, Guinean Alpha Condé, Nigerien Mahamadou Issoufou, Chad's Idriss Deby and Ivorian Alassane Ouattara.

The meetings touched on bilateral relations and ways to further them, in addition to south-south cooperation between African states.

 The sovereign discussed with the heads of states respectively the evolution of the regional juncture mainly in Western Africa in the light of the return to normality and legitimacy in the brotherly country of Mali.

 The heads of states expressed to HM the King their recognition of the role his majesty plays in promoting peace and progress in Africa.

 They share the royal vision which says that reconstructing Mali is a matter for all Africans. They also lauded the relevance of the cultural and religious dimension on this reconstruction so that Mali could recover its long-standing religious practices based on moderation and openness on the other.
