HM The King Chairs Opening Of 6th Horse Fair In El Jadida

HM King Mohammed VI, accompanied by HRH Prince Moulay Rachid, chaired this Tuesday the opening of the 6th horse fair in El Jadida.

The 6th edition,  which will run until October 6, is themed "Horses, a carrier of Morocco's promotion".

 The Sovereign toured the various pavilions of the fair, including the "Regions of the Kingdom", "Sponsors", "craftsmanship House", "Institutions' village", "International village" and "Breeders village". 

 HM the King also followed equestrian shows by French duo Fréderic Pignon and Magalie Delgado (singing and dancing with horses), French company Jehol (Cossak acrobatics) and Portuguese horseman Luis Valenca (Royal Carrousel).

 HM the King also followed a set of western equestrian figures by Western Karine Wagnon horsemen company (France), an equestrian choreography with Arab- Barb stallions by the Moroccan national stud farm, a show of free acrobatics and dressage by riders from the Marrakesh Equestrian Art School, a 16-horse carousel by the police department, as well as a dressage lesson by Yassine Rahmouni, first Moroccan rider to be selected in international dressage competitions.

 The sovereign also attended a show of "Tbourida" by the Sorbas and representing all Kingdom's regions.

 Held at the Princess Lalla Malika racetrack over a surface area of 9 hectares, the El Jadida horse show will be attended this year by a hundred of exhibitors representing the sector, national and international institutions and professional associations, and over 250,000 visitors.

 Initiated by the horse show association, the event includes notably the international model and gait show of Arab thoroughbreds, the Moroccan cup of Arab horses' breeders, the 2nd international barb horse championship and the Morocco Royal Tour final.

 The show includes also conferences to raise the breeders' awareness concerning problems of horse breeding.

 Upon his arrival at the Princess Lalla Malika racetrack, HM the King was greeted mainly by Cherif Moulay Abdellah Alaoui, president of the horse show association, HRH Prince Abdulaziz Bin Ahmed Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, President of the Arab Horse Organization, HRH Prince Saud Bin Sultan Al Saud, owner of Arab horse breeding farm "AL MAMLAKAH".

 On this occasion, the show's steward Lahbib Marzak handed the sovereign a symbolic gift from the El Jadida horse show association.
