Morocco strongly condemns Houthis' attack, occupation of UAE embassy in Sanaa

Morocco strongly condemned the despicable attack and occupation, on Monday, of the embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Sanaa by the Houthis.

"The Kingdom of Morocco strongly condemns the despicable assault on Monday, Aug. 17, 2015, against the embassy of the brotherly State of the United Arab Emirates in Yemen's capital Sanaa by a group of Houthis, the occupation of its premises as well as the evacuation of its staff," said a statement by the foreign affairs ministry on Thursday.

The same source added that "Morocco expresses its great indignation about this criminal act which is a blatant violation of international law and diplomatic customs concerning immunity of foreign embassies, and a desperate attempt to foil efforts by Arab coalition countries to restore security and stability in the sister Republic of Yemen."
