5th Moroccan-Qatari Joint Committee: Several Cooperation Agreements Signed
The fifth Moroccan-Qatari Joint Committee was crowned, Tuesday in Rabat, with the signature of several cooperation agreements and Memorandums of understanding on different matters, as well as the minutes of this session, co-chaired by head of government Abdelilah Benkirane and Qatari Interior minister Sheikh Abdallah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Thani.
They are a partnership agreement on security, an agreement on air transportation, an agreement on cooperation and information sharing between Morocco's news agency (MAP) and Qatari counterpart (QNA), as well as Memorandums of understanding related to mutual recognition of certificates, in conformity with the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers, to social development and to the executive program of the youth cooperation agreement (years 2014-2015 and 2016).
The agreements seek to give momentum to bilateral cooperation in pivotal sectors and strengthen this cooperation to match the excellent ties between the two countries.
The MAP-QNA cooperation agreement, inked by head of the news agency Khalil Hachimi Idrissi and director of Arab affairs at the Qatari foreign affairs ministry Saad Lemhandi, provides for free-of-charge exchange of pictures and stories in Arabic and English.

Biadillah Meets With Qatari PM, Interior Minister
Speaker of the House of Advisers Mohamed Sheikh Biadillah held, Monday in Rabat, talks with the Prime Minister, Minister of Interior of Qatar, Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, who is on an official visit to Morocco to co-chair the 5th session of the High Moroccan-Qatari Joint Committee.
During this meeting, the two leaders discussed the prospects of cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the State of Qatar and the importance of the parliamentary dimension to strengthen cooperation in various fields between the two brotherly countries, said a statement by the House.
Biadillah highlighted the historic visit of HM King Mohammed VI to Qatar in October 2012 and the official visit of the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani to Morocco in December 2013.

Moroccan, Qatari Heads Of Government Chair High Joint Commission In Rabat
Moroccan head of government, Abdelilah Benkirane, and Qatari prime minister and interior minister Cheikh Abdallah Ben Nasser Ben Khalifa Al Thani are co-chairing in Rabat the 5th session of the high joint commission.
Several partnership agreements covering various sectors will be signed during the session, held this March 10-11.
The Qatari official arrived to Morocco on Sunday on a work visit, heading a large delegation of cabinet members.
The commission was set up in accordance with an agreement signed by the two governments in June 1996 in Rabat.
Morocco's ambassador in Doha told the media, the 5th session reflects the existence of joint resolve to raise Moroccan-Qatari cooperation to the level of active partnership on the Arab and regional levels.
The two Arab countries are linked by several cooperation agreements, mostly signed during the latest visit to Morocco (December 2013) by the Emir of Qatar.
Bilateral agreement encompass prevention of double-taxation, fighting tax evasion, the Qatari state's participation in financing development projects in Morocco, and consolidation of scientific, technical, technological, administrative and industrial cooperation.
Trade exchanges have significantly evolved between 2010 and 2012 by more than 144pc. The value of trade progressed from 517 million dirhams in 2010 to 1.6 billion DH in 2012, as Qatar increased its imports from Morocco.

Qatari Prime Minister Starts Work Visit To Morocco
Qatari prime minister and interior minister Cheikh Abdallah Ben Nasser Ben Khalifa Al Thani, started on Sunday a work visit to Morocco.
The Qatari official, who is accompanied by a large delegation of cabinet members, was welcome at the airport by head of the government, Abdelilah Benkirane, government members and other officials.
The two heads of government will review means to promote and consolidate cooperation between the two Arab countries while Qatari ministers will also meet Moroccan peers.
