On this occasion, El Goumiri underscored Morocco’s long-standing dedication to foster women’s entrepreneurship. These efforts align closely with Africa’s development agenda, which positions women as pivotal drivers of the sustainable economic transformation.
The Moroccan diplomat highlighted several initiatives, including the "Intilaka" program, which provides financial support and mentorship to young entrepreneurs, with a special focus on women, and the National Financial Inclusion Strategy, designed to improve women’s access to credit and financial tools.
El Goumiri also underlined Morocco’s support for cooperatives and small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs)—key drivers of local development—many of which are led by women.
The strong participation of representatives from the government, the diplomatic corps, and the private sector highlights the strategic importance of the partnership between Morocco and Tanzania in the fields of trade, innovation, and economic development, he added.
Both nations pledged to deepen sustainable collaboration, with the Ambassador stressing that talent, grit, and innovation—not gender—drive success.
A strong takeaway was delivered out of the meetings: investing in women’s entrepreneurship is investing in a prosperous future for Africa.
