Su Majestad el Rey, Amir Al-Muminin, cumple la oración del Eid al-Fitr en la mezquita “Ahl Fez” en Rabat y recibe felicitaciones en esta feliz ocasión

His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, may God assist Him, accompanied by HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid and HH Prince Moulay Ahmed, performed on Friday the Eid Al-Fitr prayer at the "Ahl Fez" mosque in Mechouar in Rabat, and received greetings on this joyous occasion.

Coming from the Royal Palace in Rabat, the Royal procession headed to the "Ahl Fez" Mosque amidst cheers and applause of citizens who came to express their best wishes to HM the King, Commander of the Faithful, and to share with the Sovereign the joy of this happy day that crowns the holy month of Ramadan.

Upon His arrival at the mosque, HM the King reviewed a Royal Guard detachment that made the honors.

Following the Eid prayer, the Imam delivered a sermon emphasizing that believers have bathed, throughout the holy month of Ramadan, in an atmosphere of piety, spirituality, divine blessing and recollection, describing this period as a unique moment of spiritual life and purification of both soul and body, with the Almighty's promise of immense reward.

According to the Imam, this is a moment of piety and faith that stems from various acts of worship, in accordance with the Divine Word: "Indeed, the righteous will be amid Gardens and springs, receiving what their Lord will grant them. They were truly good-doers in the world, they used to sleep only little in the night, and pray [Allah] for forgiveness before dawn."

This sacred month was marked by the organization, under the leadership of the Commander of the Faithful, of a religious vigil on the occasion of the blessed Laylat al-Qadr, an exceptional night, which is better than a thousand months, commemorates the revelation of the first verses of the Holy Quran to the Prophet Sidna Mohammed, may the peace and blessing of God be upon Him.

He further underlined that the day of Eid is a moment of joy and happiness for the believers who give thanks to God for the blessings with which the Almighty has graced them, and implore Him to accept their fasting, their prayers, as well as their acts of piety and good deeds performed during the holy month of Ramadan.

The Imam concluded by imploring the Almighty to preserve HM the King, Commander of the Faithful, to crown His actions for the benefit of His faithful people with success, and to fulfill Him in the persons of HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid, and all members of the Illustrious Royal Family.

He also raised prayers for the repose of the souls of the late Sovereigns, the late HM King Mohammed V and the late HM King Hassan II.

Then, HM the King was greeted by Heads of diplomatic missions of Islamic countries accredited in Morocco, who have extended their greetings and best wishes to the Sovereign.

His Majesty the King, Commander of the Faithful, then returned to the Royal Palace amidst the cheers of the numerous citizens who had come to wish Him long life on this blessed day, and to reiterate their unfailing attachment to the Glorious Alaouite Throne and to the August person of His Majesty the King. In parallel, cannon shots were sounded on the occasion of this festive day.

At the Royal Palace, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, may God glorify Him, received the greetings from HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan and HRH Prince Moulay Rachid.

The Sovereign has then receied greetings from the Head of Government, the Speakers of the Parliament's Houses, and the President-Delegate of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary Power, First President of the Court of Cassation, the President of the Public Prosecutor's Office, the King's Public Prosecutor at the Court of Cassation, and the Presidents of the constitutional bodies, and several high-ranking civil and military figures.
