Government Council to Convene on Thursday

A Council of Government will convene on Thursday under the chairmanship of Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch.

The meeting will commence by reviewing a proposed bill that aims to amend and enhance the existing law on compensation for work-related accidents, according to a press release from the Prime Minister's Department on Monday.

Following that, the Council will discuss two draft decrees. The first decree pertains to the application of provisions from the law on copyright and related rights, specifically concerning remuneration for reprographic reproduction. The second draft decree focuses on the payment of allowances to individuals involved in the planning and execution of the General Census of Population and Housing (RGPH).

Continuing the agenda, the Council will review a convention signed on May 9, 2023, in Rabat between the governments of Morocco and Cape Verde. The objective of this convention is to prevent double taxation and counteract tax evasion. Additionally, a draft decree endorsing the aforementioned convention will also be considered.

Concluding the meeting, the Council will assess proposals for appointments to higher positions, as per the provisions outlined in article 92 of the Constitution, as stated in the press release.
