Economy minister Mohamed Boussaid is taking part in the Joint Annual Meetings of the Arab Financial Institutions and in the Council of Arab Financial Ministers which opened on Tuesday in Manama.

The event is an important yearly platform to examine activities and achievements by Arab financial institutions in the previous year, survey financial policies and economic orientations and elaborate action plans.

The Moroccan delegation is composed notably of Director of treasury and foreign finances at the Economy ministry Fouzia Zaaboul, budget director Faouzi Lakjaa and Morocco's ambassador in Bahrain Ahmed Rachid Khettabi.

The two-day meeting is marked by the presence of figures from the financial and banking sectors in the Arab world, including finance ministers, governors of Arab central banks, and heads of leading financial institutions.

As for the 7th Council of Arab Financial Ministers, it will discuss a working paper on ''the development of economic diversification policies in oil exporting Arab countries'' presented by the Arab Monetary Fund, and another document on '"the needs to improve labor market flexibility in Arab countries to tackle unemployment'' presented by the World Bank Group.
