The Moroccan national football team competing in the 2026 FIFA World Cup praised the courage and perseverance of the children of the Lalla Asmaa Foundation, while encouraging them to pursue their studies and dreams with the same determination that drives the national team on football pitches around the world.
In a video message recorded from Mexico and broadcast during the Foundation's 2025–2026 end-of-school-year ceremony, chaired by HRH Princess Lalla Asmaa, the national team members stressed that football and inclusion share the same core values: hard work, discipline, solidarity, and the conviction that nothing is impossible when one believes in one's dreams.
The players also took the opportunity to pay tribute to Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Asmaa, President of the Lalla Asmaa Foundation, for her consistent commitment to deaf and hard-of-hearing children and for the Foundation's exemplary work over more than two decades.
Of exceptional significance, the video message, which was one of the highlights of the ceremony, brings together two stories of achievement: that of the Atlas Lions, who proudly represent the nation on the global stage, and that of the Foundation's students, who demonstrate every day that perseverance, hard work, and confidence make anything possible.
After congratulating the students of the Lalla Asmaa Foundation on their school achievements, each member of the national team signed "I love you" in sign language. This simple yet deeply symbolic gesture reflected the solidarity of an entire nation and the power of sport to embrace the most profoundly human causes.
On this occasion, the Foundation's students, for their part, paid tribute to the national team, which has qualified for the Round of 16 of the World Cup, through an original choreographed performance set to a medley of songs dedicated to the Atlas Lions, conveying a unifying message: self-transcendence knows no boundaries.
