HM the King Offers Condolences to U.S. President Following Death of Former President Jimmy Carter

His Majesty King Mohammed VI has sent a message of condolences and compassion to President of the United States of America Joseph R. Biden, following the death of the former U.S. President Jimmy Carter.

In this message, the Sovereign expressed deep sorrow over the news of the passing of President Jimmy Carter, “a man of reconciliation and dialogue,” paying tribute to the legacy of the late American President. 

On this painful circumstance, HM the King sends to Biden, to the relatives of the deceased and to the American people His sincere condolences and deepest sympathy.

His Majesty the King recalls the official visit His Late Majesty King Hassan II, may God bless his soul, paid to the United States of America, at the invitation of the late Jimmy Carter.

“The meetings held, on that occasion, reaffirmed the depth and scope of the longstanding relations uniting the Kingdom of Morocco and the United States of America. They also underscored the strategic nature of their partnership as well as the common views they had on peace-related issues,” the Sovereign emphasized.
