SAR la Princesse Lalla Salma inaugure ''la Maison de Vie pour enfants'' à Casablanca

Casablanca - HRH Princess Lalla Salma, Chairwoman of the "Lalla Salma Association for the Fight against Cancer", accompanied by HRH Princess Lalla Khadija, inaugurated on Friday "The Children House of Life" in Casablanca.

HRH visited the facility's lounge, dining hall, reception hall, computer area, classroom, rooms, offices and check-up room.

The "Children House of Life", located in Ain chock, was built and equipped by the ALSC in partnership with the anti-poverty initiative INDH. It was constructed for the benefit of cancer kids all over Morocco who come to Casablanca to receive health care and treatment.

It offers accommodation for young patients and their families, psychological support and social activities.

Built over 2,034 square meters, the House is made up of 20 two-bed rooms and two apartments, a dining room, a classroom, a lounge, a play ground for children, a computer area, a meeting room, a health care room, a kitchen, and a garden.

Worth 13 million dirhams, the facility can host around 1,000 accompanied kids yearly.

The Houses of Life, constructed near oncological centers, have become a pressing need to encourage patients continue their treatment in the best conditions. They have multidisciplinary teams composed of health professionals, psychologists and social workers.

The ALSC has built so far five Houses of Life, four are already operational (Agadir, Casablanca-adults, Casablanca-children and Fez), and the fifth one will open its doors this year in Marrakech. Two others are under construction in Meknes and Tangier.
