The upcoming World Advanced Manufacturing (WAM Morocco) exhibition, set to take place on Oct. 28-30, 2025, in Casablanca, will highlight Morocco’s manufacturing and logistics capabilities, said Trixie LohMirmand, CEO of Kaoun International, the main organizer of GITEX.
Speaking on Tuesday on the sidelines of the third edition of GITEX Africa during an event dedicated to presenting WAM Morocco, LohMirmand emphasized that the exhibition aims to strengthen industrial capacities and support transformations across multiple economic sectors.
She noted that a range of international experts are expected to attend WAM Morocco to share insights on scaling up industrial growth and accelerating manufacturing development. Workforce upskilling will also be a key focus of the event.
“Everyone involved in the production cycle needs upskilling, especially in technologies like robotics, blockchain, and quantum computing — all of which will have a significant impact on the future of industry,” LohMirmand said.
WAM Morocco is being organized under the auspices of Morocco’s Ministry of Industry and Trade, in partnership with the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) and the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE). The event aims to propel Morocco’s growing manufacturing sector into next-generation industries.
