The visit of HM King Mohammed VI to Mali is "highly anticipated," said on Sunday Malian Foreign Minister, Zahabi Ould Sidi Mohamed.

''His Majesty is the friend of Mali in which he has a particular interest," said the head of the Malian diplomacy in a statement to MAP on the sidelines of the Summit of Heads of State of the Sahel, held in Nouakchott.

The visit of the Moroccan Sovereign is "highly anticipated," said the Malian official, adding that "it is with great joy that President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita receives his brother His Majesty King Mohammed VI.''

"This visit is very encouraging for cooperation between the two countries," said the head of the Malian diplomacy.

''We expect a lot from this Royal visit which will boost economic cooperation,'' he said, stressing ''the importance for Moroccan businessmen to come and invest in Mali'', a country on the path to stabilization and which is building its democratic institutions.
