President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria H.E. Muhammadu Buhari visited, on Sunday, the Mohammed VI Institute for the Training of Imams, Morchidines and Morchidates (religious preachers) in Rabat.

Upon his arrival at the Institute, H.E. Muhammadu Buhari, who is on an official working and friendship visit to Morocco at the invitation of HM King Mohammed VI, was notably greeted by minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, Ahmed Toufiq, and head of the Mohammed VI Institute for the Training of Imams, Morchidines and Morchidates, Abdessalam Lazaâr.

H.E. Muhammadu Buhari told the press at the end of this visit that he is "very grateful" to HM King Mohammed VI for hosting Nigerian students, whose number exceeds 200, in the Mohammed VI Institute for the Training of Imams, Morchidines and Morchidates.

Buhari's visit was particularly marked by the signing of three bilateral cooperation agreements, including one on the Nigeria-Morocco Gas Pipeline strategic project.
