Water inflows recorded since September 1, 2025, in Morocco’s various hydraulic basins of the Kingdom have reached 1,770 million cubic meters, according to official data.
These figures reflect the significant volume of water resources received by the hydraulic basins during the current season, the ministry of Equipment and Water said.
Since December 12, 2025, these hydraulic basins have received 1,348 million cubic meters, representing about 76% of the total inflows recorded since the start of the season, the same source added, noting that this figure highlights the strong concentration of water inflows during this short period compared with the rest of the season.
On the other hand, the volumes of water discharged into the sea have reached 80.2 million cubic meters since December 12, accounting for 5.9% of the total water received by dams. These quantities of water, in varying proportions, were distributed across several hydraulic basins.
Thus, the Sebou basin accounted for the largest share, with 29.1 million cubic meters, followed by Oum Er-Rbia (26.5 million cubic meters), Loukkos (9.7 million cubic meters), Tensift (7.5 million cubic meters), Souss-Massa (3.5 million cubic meters), Bouregreg (3 million cubic meters), and Moulouya (0.9 million cubic meters).
These data show the low volume of water discharged into the sea during the period in question, the same source concluded.
