The discussions focused on ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the fields of health and social protection, particularly in the training of human resources, as well as the exchange of expertise in the pharmaceutical industry and South-South cooperation.
During the meeting, Tahraoui highlighted Morocco’s pioneering experience in reforming and upgrading the health sector, in accordance with the High Royal Guidelines.
Both parties emphasized prospects for cooperation in various areas, notably the training of healthcare professionals, improving the quality of training and qualifications, and enhancing partnerships in the pharmaceutical industry and professions related to pharmaceutical sovereignty—considered strategic sectors for promoting health security.
The two ministers also stressed the importance of exchanging skills and successful experiences to contribute to the development of health systems in both countries and strengthen their shared capacities to address current and future health challenges, in support of sustainable development and the promotion of cooperation in this field.
