Morocco, Sudan Ink MoU in Housing, Urban Development

Morocco and Sudan inked, Wednesday in Quito on the sidelines of the 3rd UN Conference on Housing and Urban Sustainable Development (Habitat III), a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote cooperation in the field of housing and urban development.

This MoU was signed by secretary general of the Ministry of Habitat and Town Policy, Fatna Chihab, and Sudanese minister of Planning and Urban Development, Hasan Salah Omar Mohamed Eddine.

It is meant to share administrative and technical experience in the field of housing and urban development and promote the participation of both countries' regions in the achievement of housing projects.

Under this MoU, the two parties also agreed to share information and experience concerning the strategies and policies of housing and the fight against inadequate housing, strengthen cooperation in the area of solar and renewable energies, and to coordinate actions in the field of housing at Arab, regional and international forums.
