Morocco’s Ministry of Digital Transition and Administration Reform and the Ministry of Investment, Convergence and Evaluation of Public Policies signed three memorandums of understanding Tuesday in Marrakech with KPMG SASU, Arrow ECS Support Center Morocco, and 2T Services Maroc. The agreements focus on creating and expanding service and competency centers on the sidelines of the third edition of GITEX Africa.
The first agreement outlines plans to establish a competency center focused on technology consulting, digital transformation, financial and tax advisory services, and support for mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring, the ministries said in a joint press release.
Aligned with Morocco’s new investment charter and national priorities around digital sovereignty and human capital development, the project aims to create 150 direct jobs by 2029, according to the press release.
The second agreement covers the expansion of a shared services center and the establishment of digital skills hubs in the Casablanca-Settat region. It also includes the development of new technical and management competency centers in the digital sector, targeting the creation of 700 direct jobs by 2029.
The third agreement involves the development of a multidisciplinary service center in Oujda, focused on outsourced service delivery. The initiative aims to contribute to the economic revitalization of the region by creating 200 direct jobs by 2028.
Part of Morocco’s broader effort to strengthen its outsourcing ecosystem, the projects seek to foster structured collaboration between the public and private sectors, positioning the digital economy as a driver of regional opportunities.
The initiative reflects the government’s commitment to enhancing regional economic integration, supporting local investors, and equipping Moroccan youth with skills for an evolving service-based economy, the ministries said.
