L'expérience marocaine en matière de développement social mise en avant en Chine

Deputy Speaker of Morocco's House of Representatives Mohamed Ouzzine highlighted on Thursday Morocco's efforts, under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, to achieve inclusive and sustainable development.

Speaking on behalf of the participating delegations at an international seminar held July 8-9 in Ningxia (People's Republic of China), held under the theme  "Path to Modernization: Lessons Learned from Chinese Theory and Practice in Poverty Eradication," Ouzzine said Morocco has made the fight against poverty and vulnerability a strategic priority within its public policies.

According to a press release by the House of Representatives, he noted that the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH), launched in 2005, has become a pioneering model for social inclusion and improving the living conditions of the country's most vulnerable groups.

He added that Morocco's experience has been further strengthened by major reforms aimed at expanding social protection and implementing direct assistance programs, which have helped promote social justice and reduce regional disparities.

Ouzzine also called for stronger international cooperation and greater exchanges of expertise among States to build a more equitable and inclusive development model, while welcoming international initiatives that promote shared development.

In this regard, he reaffirmed Morocco's commitment to supporting all initiatives aimed at advancing global efforts to combat poverty and promote human well-being.

On the same occasion, Ouzzine said China's success in eradicating extreme poverty offers an inspiring example, pointing to the tangible results that helped millions of people escape poverty and significantly improve living conditions in rural areas.

He further shared Morocco's ambition to bolster its partnership with the People's Republic of China across various areas of development, welcoming the strength of bilateral ties and the shared determination to expand cooperation in favor of both friendly nations' interests and support sustainable development at the international level.
