According to a press release from the House of Representatives, the Moroccan parliamentary delegation attended a side meeting on the first day of the event, organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Union. This meeting focused on changing social norms, networking, and the global call to promote women's participation in political life and decision-making.
Members of the Interim Thematic Working Group on Equality and Parity will continue their participation in this global summit dedicated to gender equality, the establishment of standards, and the improvement of women’s conditions worldwide, according to the same source.
This session will include several activities and side events initiated by states, organizations, and international institutions, as well as participating NGOs. Meetings organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Union, in partnership with UN Women and international partners, will focus on transforming models in favor of gender equality and strengthening women's political participation.
