MEP Calls on UNSG to Take Due Account of Morocco's Higher Strategic Interests

MEP Rachida Dati has called on the UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon to take due account of the higher strategic interests of Morocco.

   "Let me encourage you to adopt a clear stance in favor of maintaining good relations with the Moroccan partner and to take due account of its higher strategic interests in all actions you undertake on behalf of the United Nations", Dati said in a letter to the UN secretary general.

   In its letter, Dati recalls that she has published a written statement to Parliament signed by 120 MEPs in which she emphasizes "our commitment to the unique relationship we have with the Kingdom of Morocco, to send a strong message to the European Union and the international community".
