Bank Al-Maghrib (BAM) announced on Monday the launch of a new portal that allows citizens to securely, autonomously, and instantly access information related to their bank accounts.
Launched on the sidelines of the 2025 edition of Gitex Africa, held from April 14 to 16 in Marrakech, this platform is part of the ongoing digitalization of public interest services currently provided through Bank Al-Maghrib’s network, the Central Bank pointed out in in a press release.
Accessible via the web, the portal offers three services:
- Information on a client’s bank accounts: The client can access the details of all their previously opened bank accounts with local banks, regardless of their status (active, closed, etc.);
- Information on a deceased person’s bank accounts: In the context of inheritance, an heir, their representative, or a legatee can request the details of the deceased's bank accounts through the portal and retrieve the information from one of Bank Al-Maghrib’s branches of their choice;
- Information on check payment incidents: Check issuers can obtain, via the portal, information related to payment incidents involving their checks.
To ensure secure access to this new platform, Bank Al-Maghrib relies on the authentication system of the General Directorate of National Security, which is based on the use of official identity documents.
