European Court Ruling on Morocco-EU Agriculture Agreement: Morocco Addresses the Issue with "clarity and firmness"
Morocco addresses the issue of the European court's ruling on the EU-Morocco agriculture agreement "with clarity and firmness," Minister-delegate to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Mbarka Bouaida said Tuesday.
"We reject the European court's ruling and we are not alone, as the first reaction came from the Council of the European Union which decided unanimously to lodge an appeal," she added at the House of Advisors (higher house).
Several European countries support the appeal made by the EU Council, including Germany, France, Belgium, Spain and Portugal, she noted.
Last December, the European Court of Justice's Eighth Chamber made a ruling annulling an enhancement of the agriculture agreement signed in 2012 between Morocco and the European Union.

Economic Cooperation, Core Element of Morocco's Diplomacy
Economic cooperation has become a core element of Morocco's diplomacy, Minister-delegate to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Mbarka Bouaida said Tuesday.
This vision was expressed for the first time by HM King Mohammed VI in his message to the Conference of the Ambassadors of HM the King, held on August 30, 2013 in Rabat, she recalled at the House of advisors (Higher house).
Since then, the ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation endeavors to boost economic diplomacy through the participation of business delegations in all diplomatic and political meetings, she added.
The minister highlighted Morocco's assets that help supporting economic diplomacy, mainly security, stability and the progress made in promoting business climate.
Promoting economic diplomacy also involves the organization of several economic conferences by the ministry of Foreign affairs or in coordination with other departments, Bouaida added, stressing the importance of South-South cooperation.
