Ethiopia: Sheikh Haji Ibrahim Tufa Commends HM the King’s Leadership in Uniting African Ulema

The President of Ethiopia’s Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Sheikh Haji Ibrahim Tufa, on Tuesday praised HM King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, for his pioneering role in uniting African Ulema.

Speaking in Addis Ababa during a meeting with a delegation from the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Ulema, Sheikh Haji Ibrahim Tufa underlined that this pioneering role is reflected through initiatives and programs aimed at preserving religious principles, Islamic identity, and African societies.

The Moroccan delegation included Othman Skalli Houssaini, Financial Director of the Foundation; Abderrahim Al Amine, Director of the Mohammed VI Institute for Quranic Readings and Studies; Abdelhamid El Alami, Mohammed Maghraoui, and Hamid Lahmer, experts at the Foundation; and Ilyas Mahyaoui, an international Quran reciter.

Tufa also expressed deep appreciation for the strong ties between Ethiopia and Morocco.

For his part, Skalli Houssaini underscored the importance of strengthening cooperation between Moroccan and Ethiopian Ulema to promote spiritual peace, preserve African religious heritage, and uphold the values of peace, coexistence, and dialogue, in line with the vision of HM the King, Commander of the Faithful, President of the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Ulema.
