EBRD Loaned Morocco 383 Mln Euros Since Sept. 2012 To Fund 18 Project, Official

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) loaned Morocco some 383 million euros since September 2012 to finance 18 projects, said, on Tuesday in Rabat, Economy minister Mohammed Boussaid.
Morocco received since September 2012 some 383 million euros for the financing of eighteen projects, said Boussaid, after a meeting with a delegation of the EBRD made up of 11 directors as part of their consultations in Morocco on June 2 to 6.
The Minister emphasized the prospects for strengthening the Bank's cooperation with Morocco given the status of "country of operations" granted to Morocco in November 2013, allowing it to benefit from the resources of the Bank.
Boussaid also welcomed the preparation of the "country strategy" between Morocco and the EBRD, which will be part of the EBRD activity in Morocco for the next three years and whose broad lines are in line with the priorities of the Moroccan government.
For his part, Alain Cointet, Director for France at the EBRD, noted the great potential of Morocco, highlighting the reforms undertaken by the Kingdom in the different sectors.
