Arab Family Organization Elects HM King Mohammed VI Personality of the Year for Family Cohesion and Social Security

The Arab Family Organization (AFO) elected, Sunday in Abu Dhabi, HM King Mohammed VI as the Personality of the Year for Family Cohesion and Social Security.

This award was granted to HM the King as a recognition of the Sovereign's efforts in promoting family and social development, Chairman of the Arab Family Organization Jamal Bin Obeid Al-Bah said at a press conference.

A committee of academics and intellectuals elected HM King Mohammed VI, based on His initiatives aimed at promoting family and Morocco’s development, which made Morocco a reference of peace and stability in the Arab world.

The committee also hailed HM the King's will to promote peace, stability and dialogue in Arab countries, as well as His defense of Arab and humanitarian causes.  

According to the organization, the award is granted to the Arab leader who has endeavored to consolidate social cohesion and stability, via a project, a programme or an initiative.
