HM the King Inaugurates Training & Integration Centre for Women & Youth in Mediouna Province

HM King Mohammed VI inaugurated, Saturday in Tit Mellil (Mediouna Province), a training and integration Center for women and youth, carried out by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity for a total investment of 9 million dirhams.

A real springboard towards the socio-economic integration of young people, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, this structuring project opens up new prospects for the future of beneficiaries who will be able, thanks to qualifying training, to enter the job market and improve their living conditions and those of their families.

This Centre, whose construction works were launched by HM the King on 8 June 2017, bears witness to the Sovereign's particular interest in the development of the situation of women and young people as well as His willingness to provide them with various tools for better access to development.

This solidarity-based project, set up within the framework of a participatory approach with representatives of civil society, aims to support women and young people in Tit Mellil, to promote their access to different tools and means of social and professional integration, in addition to improving the educational level of children.

It will also contribute to the development and socialization of the target people through cultural and social activities that encourage empowerment, citizenship and the spirit of volunteerism, particularly through associative action.

Built on 3,640 m2 of public land, the new facility includes, inter alia, a women's and young people's vocational training centre with workshops in pastry-kitchen, sewing-cutting, hairdressing-aesthetics, aluminium carpentry, building electricity, computer network and business training rooms, a library and a multimedia room.

The creation of this Centre is the result of a partnership between the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, the Mediouna Provincial Council, the Office for Vocational Training and Promotion of Work and the Support Association of the Tit Mellil Training and Integration Centre for Women.

This new project will consolidate the various actions undertaken by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity in the Casablanca-Settat Region, whose main objectives are to improve citizens' living conditions and enhance the potential of young people, the real wealth of the Nation.
