MAP, Rwanda News Agency Sign Cooperation Agreement

The Moroccan News Agency (MAP) and Rwanda News Agency (RNA) signed on Monday in Rabat a cooperation agreement to develop exchange of information and strengthen professional relations between the two agencies.

Inked by Managing Director of MAP, Khalil Hachimi Idrissi, and RNA's Director, André Gakwaya, this agreement will allow the mutual exploitation of news stories published in English by the two agencies, including multimedia products (pictures, audio clips, videos, computer graphics…).

The two parties also undertake to give each other priority in the case of news concerning events in Morocco or Rwanda, and to grant, as far as possible, facilities and assistance to correspondents of the two countries and their special envoys during their journalistic missions in both countries.

The agreement, which is renewable for one year, also provides for the exchange of visits by journalistic, technical and media executives from the two agencies.

Gakwaya told MAP that this agreement will enable his agency to strengthen its cooperation relations and to exchange experiences with the Moroccan Agency.

He also praised the Kingdom as a model to follow in the African continent and a country that will undoubtedly help to transform Africa.

During his stay in Morocco, RNA Director will hold meetings with several leaders and economic operators and will pay a visit to the city of Dakhla.
