Brazilian expert in economic affairs Altair de Sousa Maia highlighted the singularity of the Moroccan approach to fight the new coronavirus, saying that it would preserve citizens' health and protect the national productive system.
"These measures are capable of preserving the good health of the economy, especially if they cover the entire production structure, both in the goods and services sectors", underlined the professor of economics at the University of Brasília.
In an interview with MAP, the international expert noted that the Moroccan experience stands out in many respects, citing in particular the creation of the fund for the new coronavirus management, which he believes is crucial for maintaining the good functioning of the economy and strengthening its resilience.
This initiative is also fundamental to ensuring a rapid resumption of economic growth after the pandemic, he added.
"In Morocco, there is a national effort to fight the pandemic, in which all sectors are involved and HM King Mohammed VI has played an essential role in uniting all the Moroccan people to face this situation," said Sousa Maia, author notably of "ZPCAS: a new deal for the South Atlantic".
