2026 World Cup: Bid Committee Receives FIFA Task Force

Morocco's 2026 World Cup bid committee receives Monday the 5 members of the Task Force as well as members of the FIFA administration for a 3-day inspection in order to assess the capacity of the kingdom to host the 2026 World Cup.

To this end, the Task Force will visit several cities in the Kingdom on April 17-19 as well as stadiums, training camps, fan fests sites and media centers, in addition to other locations linked to the organization of the competition, said the bid committee in a statement.

"Thanks to the Kingdom's strategies, led by HM the King and embodied by a whole people, Morocco is ready to welcome the members of the FIFA Task Force to our land of football," said chairman of bid committee, Moulay Hafid Elalamy, quoted in the statement.

Morocco offers FIFA and the world football family an innovative and compact concept, guaranteeing operational efficiency, remarkable profitability and a lasting legacy in Morocco and Africa," said Elalamy, stressing that the World Cup in Morocco would be a source of pride but also a formidable catalyst for development.
